Before Renovation

Located at the I-Life of Kam Tin. The unit was in unsightly layout and decoration before renovation.

On Process

Incorporating and the use of the false ceiling , built-in furniture and extend the staircase is the key method of to improve the space proportion and enhance the storage for the space. 

Final Result

Due to the original building (New Territories Small House , also known as" Ding House" )design was without architect participation and involvement, the main design intent in this project was reformed the spaces and staircase to be reasonable circulation, proportion and mixed with the homeowner's preferences.  

Ground Floor

Foyer and staircase

 

Bespoke perforated screens was making the tiny foyer entrance more open and interesting, the lighting staircase behind the screen was forming the depth of field of foyer.

TV cabinet

 

The house headroom is within 2300mm height only. Using the wall sconce and light trough of the TV cabinet for the ambient lighting of the living room to avoid the oppression caused by the installation of the ceiling lamp.

Mini Bar 

 

Consisting of a mini-bar, storage cabinets and access door of staircase storage.

GF Kitchen & Bathroom

The kitchen cabinet, countertop and wall was composed by vary grey colour finishes. And bathroom was in industrial style with the concrete ceramic tile and black accents.

First Floor

Bed and wall storage 

 

As the feature point of the master bedroom, the full height back cabinet is providing extra storage for this tiny space. 

1F Bathrooms

Guest bathroom was as in industrial style with the concrete ceramic tile and black accents. And the design elements of master bathroom were consisted and extend from bedroom,  its atmosphere was more warm by wooden ceramic tile.
